The Tide Turns

The google Inquisition is just revving up.Since their Support for Clinton turned out to be a spectacular failure, google has been revealing itself to be as much a cult as it is a corporation. Rest assured, once the internal purge is complete they will begin shutting down what dissenting voices they can on the outside.

It is time to start searching for alternatives. I do most of my web browsing through Brave already, and I recommend dropping twitter for Gab ai. By year's end I will drop g-mail and google+. They shall be abandoned to the same trash heap where I tossed my facebook account years ago.

Google, facebook, youtube, Go Daddy, Twitter and Kickstarter have all taken it upon themselves to censor traditionalist and right wing views. Far from feeling frustrated or suppressed about it all, I find myself rather excited by all their Big Brother bumbling about. It tells me they're scared. They're running, retreating.

They are failing.

Let Them Have Rope

Over at TownHall, Kurt Schlichter makes the case for letting Liberals be liberals.

"Pity the Democrats, to the extent you can without bursting into hysterical laughter at their agony. America has thoroughly rejected them in every branch of the federal government plus out in the states, and on top of that they were utterly humiliated by the guy they all claimed was a complete moron. Which begs the question – what does that make the sanctimonious harpy he crushed in the Electoral College?
They still haven’t realized what’s going on. Their ego-driven drive to dominate normal people and shape us into New Socialist Nongendered Beings has blinded them to the bitter reality.
We think they, along with their minions in the media, in Hollywood, and on campus, suck.
They are baffled at our refusal to acknowledge their moral, intellectual, and political superiority. It doesn’t just compute.
Yeah, well compute this, geebos.
You look nuts. I mean wacko, zonked out, “Hey, that goldfish is firing a mind control laser at my brain and making me break dance” nuts.
But don’t stop. No, pump it up. You’re at “11,” and I say take it to “12.”
This is great!
All this insanity is going to help us normals retain power, from your gyno-hat marches to the fake hate crimes to your insistence that the Russians are responsible for everything from Hillary losing the election to the rarely-discussed but well-known liberal epidemic of ED.
Here’s a little test. It’s been about six months since Trump treated The Smartest Most Accomplished Woman In The World like a NordicTrack treats Harry Reid, and does anyone know even one person who has said, “You know, I voted for Trump, but now after Neil Gorsuch, General Mattis and H.R. McMaster, I really wish I had checked the box for Felonia von Pantsuit?
I’m not talking about alt-right weirdos – they don’t count. I mean literally, unless they remove their off-brand Nike knock-offs. I mean normal people. Who voted for Trump and now says something remotely like this?
Yeah, I really regret not letting Hillary pick a SCOTUS judge who thinks the Constitution bans guns but mandates taxpayer-subsidized transsexual abortions!
Wow, that 70% drop in illegal alien entries into America and all those deportations of MS-13 guys are depriving the country of valuable, productive future Democrat voters!
Gosh, I hate so much how Trump has paid attention to that sliver of our country lying between I-5 and I-95!
It was Ashley Judd’s v-cap slam poetry, combined with Bill Nye’s sex confusion clip, that convinced me what America needs is liberals back in power!

Who is James Comey?

The media praised him. Then they raised a screeching chorus demanding his head. And now they're tripping over themselves defending him and his job from the latest 'Literal Hitler': AKA President Donald J Trump.

Who is it that has evoked such a bi-polar narrative form the press? Why it is James Comey, the very Portrait Of Corruption himself!

Tommy Robinson in Manchester:

Paul Weston: A Voice for the Resistance

Manchester United In Denial

There is absolutely no need whatsoever for all the head-scratching, navel-gazing or brow-furrowing search for the motivation that made the Manchester Massacre possible. Our enemy has never been shy or less than forthcoming about Why They Hate Us

The only mysteries here are, why we don't take them at their word and why we don't hit them back ten times as hard?

We won't strike back, of course. We're too multi-culti for that.

Instead, candles will be lit amid wreaths of flowers. Tears will be shed. Hands shaped into hearts might even be raised into the night. Platitudes will certainly be peddled aplenty and hash-tagged ad nauseum. Throughout it all political correctness will be strictly enforced by our enlightened czars of tolerance.
We will be advised, once again, to carry on as usual.

The problem is that our New Usual is shaping up to be an attack every Nine Days.

Now sadly, there seems to be no limit to what human beings can get used to. Fortunately on the flip side, there is no limit to what a people can accomplish when they bind their wills to GOD's Will.

... Because we're going to need a whole lot of them considering that the vigils which are our go-to and flaccid response to every Islamic act of war against us will insure further and ever more ferocious attacks from that grand ol' religion o' peace.

And don't worry none, Manchester. Scotland Yard in on the job!

Murder, Mayhem and the Mainstream Media

The latest hysterics in DC lead me to believe something BIG is about to break. The reaction to Comey's firing is just way too extreme. The incompetent boob just doesn't deserve any of the wailing and gnashing of teeth offered up on his behalf by a press that not long ago, was calling for his head.

Impeachment? Really? I don't think so. I could list the ways that these calls for President Trump's impeachment are not only inappropriate, and laughably so, but John C Wright has already done so much better than I could have managed the affair.

And then there is this inconvenient video...

So what is the BIG SHOE about to drop? I don't know of course, but my tingling Spidey Senses tell me all the squawking is a desperate attempt to divert our attention away from the curious murder of Seth Rich.

While the investigation has been presently stymied, one must remember that President Trump has only just begun to drain the swamp. In time the monsters that lurk there will all be exposed.

DOMINO - A Book Review

Ever since Aesop's time, if not before then, storytellers have been spinning yarns about animals in order to make salient observations about humanity. These tales are among the most enduring and endearing stories we have. DOMINO By Kia Heavey is a more than deserving addition to their immortal ranks.

Domino can be fitted snuggly between George Orwell's Animal Farm and Richard Adam's Watership Down, the two books more than a few reviewers have compared it to. Like Orwell's and Adam's classics, Domino is, first and foremost, an entertaining tale about fully fleshed (and furred) characters. Heavey really knows her animals, cats in particular, and her writing is sharp enough to comfortably place the reader in their skin. She accomplishes this with an attention to the details only the keen eye of an animal lover could detect and she reproduces them convincingly, as only a lover of language can. A dozen or so instances spring readily to mind, but I was particularly impressed by the exquisite intimacy generated during the scene in which two cats share a freshly killed squirrel.

Ostensibly, Domino is the story of a country cat trying to protect, not only his way of life, but ultimately his very life and the lives of his mate and their litter from the ramifications of "high-minded" ideas being preached by a recently transplanted city cat. This city cat, named Socrates, preaches 'transcendence', urging his fellow felines to 'overcome their natures' and 'get along' with all their fellow creatures, including, if not especially, the rats! But of course, fables, as noted, are not really about the animals which inhabit them. They are about the 'us' who read, write and share them. Domino is thus a timely tale for this age of ours which peddles nonsense like gender theory as 'science' and bids us to find our hope in the cyber snake oil of transhumanism. And the book is so well written, the story so charmingly told, that Domino is as timeless a tale as it is timely.

 I highly recommend it!

Fake News And Baseball?

A story to remember next time you hear that so-and-so is a racist ...

Quite frankly, these "ism" cards have been so overplayed that whenever I hear that someone is a "racist", I know that they're someone whom I would probably find to be an interesting thinker. If I hear that they are "racist, sexist and a homophobe", then I know I've hit the trifecta and found a great and original intellect with which to enrich my own. If they are so fortunate to be branded an "Islamaphobe" to boot, well, that's just the brandied cherry atop all the deliciousness!

Female Genital Mutilation In America

The barbaric practice of female genital mutilation is reaching epidemic proportions in Europe and is steadily on the rise, right here, in our U.S of A.

This practice, which should be considered a capital crime is not even illegal in twenty six states. So to recap: In present day America, our women cannot depend on the government to keep perverts out of their bathrooms or prosecute psychopaths who would mutilate them.

I'm all for Making America Great Again, but can we start by making her sane again?

A Short Story by John Fitzgerald

John Fitzgerald, one of the contributors to Albion Awakening has written a short story set in a future where Catholicism has been restored to something of its former glory. My own, The Omega Crusade series is about the future Restoration of Mother Church, so naturally, this short story appealed to me. Fitzgerald's tale is well written, a pleasant and breezy read; it's only faults being that is entirely too short and feels like it should be part of a larger work. Here's hoping it is or soon will be.

MOLYNEUX On MILO-GATE

Stefan Molyneux provides us with the most comprehensive analysis of Milo-gate and, being an intellectual fellow traveler, if not an outright ally of Milo, Stefan also offers up the most poignant critique of Yiannopoulos that I have come across. It is really well worth watching.

While I look forward to Milo's new ventures, I also pray he takes Stefan's advice to name not only the priest and other adult who abused him when he was a boy, but also name the pedophiles he encountered at the various Hollywood boat and house parties he mentioned attending. I mean donating 10% of his book's profits to abused children charities is great and all but exposing pedophiles would do even more good for all victims of childhood sexual abuse - Milo included!

A Bitter Trial - A Book Review

A BITTER TRIAL by Evelyn Waugh

In this short but powerful book, one can really feel the anguish that the sweeping changes to the liturgy caused Evelyn Waugh. Through the various letters to Cardinal Heenan, friends and assorted editors, Waugh not only points out the various problems with the Novus Ordo - presciently calling to mind Pope Benedict XVI's critique of the new Mass as often being banal & pedestrian - but he also confesses that the changes are a challenge to his faith, reducing Mass attendance from a holy obligation to a "tedious duty."

Reading such a painful confession one can't help but think of the alarming numbers of parishes, seminaries & convents that closed down as pews emptied in the wake of these changes, changes that were not called for by Vatican 2 but were rather wrought by what Waugh summed up as "a strange alliance of archeologists absorbed in their speculations on the rites of the second century and modernists who wish to give the Church the character of our own deplorable epoch..."

These two groups, spiritual heirs of the Vandals if ever there were any, in a misguided (to be charitable)attempt to simplify the liturgy, stripped it of much of its beauty, which in their Philistine arrogance they dismissed as 'the accretions of centuries...' And like the baby & the bathwater, much of the liturgy's reverence was ejected with its beauty. In his most succinct and poignant complaint, which to me is the crux of the matter, Waugh wonders why "the Church [which] rejoices in the development of dogma; why does it not also admit the development of liturgy?"

Why not indeed?

I'm not a sedevacantist, Vatican 2 basher or a Latin Mass-or-bust sort of Catholic, but it is obvious to me that as legitimate as the Novus Ordo of the Mass is, it is not a development of the Tridentine liturgy. It is rather a jarring alteration of the older rubrics. The difference is so jarring that they seemed to be the products of two different religions to my pre-convert reckoning. Thus I very easily sympathized with the disorientation Waugh suffered at the sudden changes to the liturgy and could feel something of the heart wrenching concerns that compelled him to write to Cardinal Heenan repeatedly.

I enjoyed the book tremendously. Throughout it I kept thinking of this prophetic quote from Hans Urs von Balthasar:

"We no longer dare to believe in Beauty and we make of it a mere appearance in order to more easily dispose of it. Our situation today shows that Beauty demands for itself at least as much courage & decision as do Truth & Goodness, & she will not allow herself to be separated & banned from her two sisters without taking them along with herself in an act of mysterious vengeance. We can be sure that whoever sneers at her name as if she were an ornament of a bourgeois past - whether he admits it or not - can no longer pray & will soon no longer be able to love."

I recently grieved with Waugh when I came across this video being recommended by a deacon in my google+ feed. What's next, I asked the good deacon? A Mariachi Mass, complete with a blessed-host stuffed pinata?

At least they saved this nonsense for the end of the Mass. Thank goodness, otherwise the priest might have been tempted to throw out handfuls of the Blessed Hosts from the sanctuary like so many plastic doubloons from a parade float. That would have been a travesty on par with the abuses and outright blasphemies documented below:

Fortunately these extreme examples are becoming rarer, I'm told. I certainly hope so. Though in my few years in the Church, I have witnessed a Polka Mass and what I could only describe as a Captain and Tennille Mass. I couldn't tell you which disturbed me more. I would have to think about it and I don't want to.

The Hidden Truth - A Book Review

When a high school student stumbles across a discrepancy between an online version of an old physics book and its pulp original, he quite naturally assumes there was an error made in its scanning. Investigating further, he discovers other 'discrepancies' between old physics books and their online copies, discrepancies which are all related to a particular and peculiar theory of electromagnetism. The more he investigates the clearer it becomes to him that there exists a century-plus long conspiracy to erase all evidence of the intriguing, though counter-intuitive, theory. Before too long, the cabal notices the student's nosing about and the young man learns how deadly serious the conspirators are about suppressing that bit of knowledge.
THE HIDDEN TRUTH by Hans G. Schantz   is at once a cat and mouse, cloak and dagger who-done-it of a thrilling thriller. It is a very original contribution to the genre. The writing is breezy. The characters are developed fully enough that you actually care what happens to them. Schantz' depiction of family life was particularly engaging. The pacing was expertly done, kicking into high gear about halfway through the novel. The ending both satisfied and left me wanting more. The science in the tale was never overwhelming, intelligible enough at any rate for this layman to follow.
          I recommend it heartily!
Look for it at the Conservative Libertarian Fiction Alliance.

A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller JR. is a timeless and must-read classic!

Webster defines apocalypse as “…writings marked by pseudonymity, symbolic imagery and the expectation of an imminent cosmic cataclysm…” The explanatory notes in my Catholic bible would add that “The Apocalypse (so it names this last book of the bible) is a Revelation of things that were, are and will be.” A Canticle for Leibowitz shares a great deal of the multi-layered nature of sacred scripture. The novel speaks of our past, present and future with symbols and pseudonyms while building throughout its far-flung narrative the expectation of an inevitable shoe-dropping of doom.

On the surface, a Canticle is the story of the cyclic nature of civilization as seen through the stained-glass windows of a monastery somewhere in the American Southwest. And a grim story it is, a tale of a bone-headed species doomed to repeat murderous mistakes to suicidal extremes again and again with ever rising body counts. Beneath that surface, A Canticle is the story of the Catholic Church and Her struggles, internal and external. And that is the glorious story of the invincible hope She holds up against all odds and every evil. Together, these tales, grim and glorious, are twined into a millennium-long saga that is at once a mirror to our own history and a glimpse of an all-too-possible future. Walter Miller unfolds the saga over three books, each set centuries apart, each book representing a different period in the Church’ history.

The first book is a sketch of the Church during the Dark Ages (476-1000 A.D.) and opens, rather appropriately, during the penitential season of Lent. The story begins several centuries after the ‘Flame Deluge’ where mankind, humbled by his own hand and hubris, is reduced to hordes of hungry illiterates trying to scratch out a living from the earth they have scorched to near lifelessness with war. And as the Earth is scoured of nearly all that makes life itself possible, humanity is all but shorn of the learning and culture that makes life beautiful. This latter condition has been brought about mostly by the ‘Simplification’ that followed the Great War. The mobs of book-burning and intellectual-lynching Simpletons responsible for this disastrous dumbing-down are the author’s playful but pointed poke at the anti-Catholic mobs of nineteenth century America whom history ignobly but accurately remembers as, ‘The Know Nothings.’

The second book is Miller’s portrait of the Catholic Church during the late Middle-Ages to the Renaissance (14th -17th centuries.) At this point in the saga, the world, thanks to the work of the Church, is begetting a new, thriving culture. This reflects our own very real history, where centuries after the Church’s founding of various schools, including the university system, hospitals for the poor and other social safety nets and playing patron to the arts and sciences, civilization reached an unparalleled high-water mark. Within this advanced culture, however, is the very seed of its destruction, pride; a pride that challenges Church authority on all fronts. It is a species of that pride with which Lucifer once challenged God’s authority in Heaven. It is pride born of ingratitude. It is manifest in the town of Sanly Bowitts (whose very name betrays their indebtedness to the order and its saintly founder) a town which is not only loath to thank the monks for the gift of literacy they have received from them, but would so like the order to furnish the town library with treasures from the precious memorabilia that the monks have to chain the books against the threat of theft. This thanklessness is personified as well by Thon Taddeo, the scholar who scoffs at the idea of putting his learning at the service of the very church that raised and educated him. This ingratitude is also displayed by the Poet who mooches off the monastery, all the while challenging the monks with all the passive aggressiveness of a petulant teenager. This sort of ingratitude will inevitably prod the pride of the world into open revolt against the Church. This is represented by Hannegan, who like Henry VIII, breaches the wall between church and state and makes himself head of the Church in Texakarna. Collectively, these three characters represent some of the more prominent types the Church was in contention with during the Reformation & Renaissance periods. These various challenges ate at the Church not unlike the ulcer that eats away at abbot Paolo during the second book.

The closing tale is a reflection our own modern and wretched epoch. At this point in history the Church’ authority has been severely diminished. With its dismissal, beliefs in absolute morals and objective truth have all but disappeared. It is in this book that we meet the character that most resembles us. This modern man, as exemplified by Doctor Cors, is a character whose vision is so stunted by the myopia of his materialistic world view that he can’t imagine an evil greater than pain or a source of right and wrong other than society. This materialism he subscribes to is nothing less than the first wave of a new Simplification (if human senses or instruments cannot detect a thing, it must therefore not exist and can thus be dismissed) which leads inevitably to the breakdown of communications. Thus when we meet the third book’s abbot, we find Zerchi frustrated by the failure of his Autoscribe to properly translate his letter to the bishop. This breakdown in communications is so pervasive that it even plagues the Church. Latin, the one language that has united the Church across continents and centuries, has now split in two distinct tongues! More striking is the loss of absolute morals that has given way to such a morass of amoral relativism that a government can set up a roadside Auschwitz and call it a mercy camp. With truth and morality subject to individualism and subjectivism the only objective determinant in human affairs naturally becomes the will, which unfortunately is always all-too-ready to resort to force. Again, even the Church is affected by this malaise as is depicted by the abbot’s anger management problem. Without objective and absolute truths and morals to guide and even constrain human wills, the contests between them become clashes in short order, growing in belligerence until… kaboom!

Despite the subject matter, I found Canticle to be a hugely optimistic book. It begins with a young, hungry monk in search of God and fulfillment and ends with an old, dying monk being fed the Blessed Sacrament, the Bread of life, fulfilled with the very blood, body, soul and divinity of God! Despite Zerchi’s death and the destruction of the abbey, the Church Herself survives yet another cataclysm, taking Her mission to the stars, while on Earth, God begins again with a new Eve, the Immaculately Conceived Rachel, a sinless creature sprung from the guileless Mrs. Grales (Grail?)

Reading Canticle as Church history is just one layer of this great novel. There are other deeper layers. Respectively, each book is also a meditation on the theological virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity as well as the three manifestations of God as Beauty, Truth and Love. At another level Canticle is a catechetical work with very deft treatments of some of the more interesting Church teachings on subjects such as ‘Invincible Ignorance’ and the ‘Problem of Evil.’ And then there is the deeper, mystical levels probed through the characters of Laz and Rachel. As literature, this book is rich and meaty for all its intellectual subtlety. The novel is quite the contrast to the horde of zombie books that presently crowd the post-apocalyptic genre with stories that, despite all the limb-gnawing, brain-munching and entrails-slurping, only serve up the emptiest of calories.

Canticle is also very funny, laugh-out-loud-funny in more than a few parts. I don’t think that it is any fluke that Canticle won the Hugo Award in 1961 (I was pleasantly surprised to learn that A Canticle was actually one of two Catholic Sci-Fi novels up for the Hugo that year. It ran against Poul Anderson’s “The High Crusade.”) Neither is there any surprise in the fact that the book has never been out of print in its 50 + years because it speaks just as eloquently today as it did half a century ago. I have every confidence that A Canticle for Leibowitz will continue to go on selling long into the future because the novel is a timeless work, made so by the author’s choice to grapple with things eternal.

I’d like to claim that reading the book was a pure pleasure but I cannot. Throughout the reading thoughts of the author’s abandonment of Catholicism and his tragic end by suicide were constantly with me, as ever-present as the vultures over the abbey’s sky. I can only conjecture that he was among the droves of Catholics who left the Church in the wake of The Second Vatican Council. This was a period where church leaders, clerical and lay, under the cover of ‘the spirit of Vatican 2’, began their crusade to modernize Catholicism (May God forgive their misguided souls!) Priests stopped wearing cassocks and nuns traded their habits for pant suits. Solemn Gregorian chant was replaced by sickly sweet Protestant hymns or worse, ‘Christian Rock’ (the crappiest music genre in human history!) Beyond these cosmetic changes, disciplines were also watered down or outright dropped; the Latin and the beauty of the traditional Liturgy were abandoned for the vernacular and the banal while dogma was rarely articulated and even undermined by these modernist Vandals. This experiment in modernization nearly wrecked the Church. It certainly ruined the faith of many. Parishes, seminaries, convents and monasteries closed at a rate that should have been alarming but strangely enough wasn’t. Walter Miller can probably be counted among the millions who left the Church during that time. A man with a deeply wounded psyche to begin with (His friend and fellow sci-fi writer, Joe Hadleman claimed that Miller suffered from PTSD for thirty years before the condition was diagnosed), cut off from the Church’ Sacramental life, he retreated into himself, became a recluse and eventually shot himself.

It was a tragic ending to his mortal life but given his mental state at the time a Catholic has reason to trust in God’s mercy to forgive him the otherwise grave sin. And then there is the sense of invincible optimism with which his book is infused which gives me hope to believe that once he shed his tortured mortal coil and came before his Maker, Miller repented and recovered the love for the Catholic Church that is so evident in every page of A Canticle for Leibowitz. I’m sure he is looking down, cheering on the Restoration of Traditional Catholicism around the globe. I’m sure he is tickled by the new generation of Catholics who, like his beloved monks, have recovered and are reverencing the timeless treasures and traditions of the Church.

Migrants Riot in Sweden.

I wonder if the media and/or Swedish politicians will blame President Trump?

I'm with Milo!

The Operation to Destroy Milo will fail. It will be as big a flop for the left as their feminist reboot of Ghostbusters. How do I know this? It's simple. Milo Yiannopoulos is not only smarter than any of his enemies, he is smarter than all of his enemies combined. Additionally, his enemies, consisting mostly of the media, are held in more contempt by more Americans than ever in the nation's history.

The news conference at 3 P.M. should be a fabulous hoot!

Give 'em Hell, Milo!

Rad Trads in the White House!

Even more reasons to love Bannon and Conway:

The Mick is Sick Television

The following is from the good people of Return To Order . Org

["There is nothing decent about The Mick. Not the topic, not the characters, and most definitely not the humor." says Lindsay Kornick of Media Research Center Newsbusters.

She is right! There is nothing decent about The Mick. It's all about using children to promote sexual perversion. Read the facts as reported from sample videos.
  • The show pitches a hashtag "#KidsareD****" on Twitter and Snapchat, commonly used by children.
  • A babysitter aunt of the children applauds the youngest boy in the family for wearing a dress to go to school.
  • The same aunt justifies theft and allows sexual frivolity inside the house in front of the youngest child.
  • A teenage girl promotes a fund drive for Planned Parenthood, praising it as "health care" for women
  • The aunt recounts her own experience with Planned Parenthood, comparing it to getting freebies from a grocery store.

Disgusting! And this is only the tip of the iceberg.

This is not the American family you and I defend!

Employing children to promote sexual immorality, abortion, transgenderism is NOT right.

This is NOT what America needs. Nor is it what God wants. Our Lord Jesus said of those who scandalize children:

"...it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea." (Matt 18:6)

Don't let The Mick pervert our children and grandchildren. They are our future!]
