2017: In The Rear View Mirror

Taylor Swift recently received a Whole Lot Of Flak from Libtards over her noting that she could not have had a better year, this here quickly passing year of our Lord 2017.

"Is there anything more annoying than Taylor Swift talking about what a great year 2017 has been while everyone else has been fighting for their life under Trump," wrote one particular twat on Twitter.

The obvious Trump Derangement Syndrome not withstanding, there have been some pretty nasty tragedies this year. But I say so what? Is there a year, a day or even an hour on this fallen world of ours that is not touched by some tragedy somewhere? I dare answer, no, there ain't, so get over it!

Taylor Swift was not talking about a year in the life of the world, she was talking about a year in the life of Taylor Swift. And if she has had herself a good year, then good on her. All healthy, well adjusted people can only hope that she and everyone else have many more of such years in their lives than they have the alternative.

For myself, 2017 has been a pretty good year. And for the world at large, I believe 2017 has been A Very Sexy Year!

I can't wait to see what 2018 brings.

Happy Columbus Day!

"It is one thing to say that Columbus discovered America. It is something else to realize that he opened the door to the most phenomenal spread of Christianity since the time of Saint Paul."

--- Father John Hardin

Ignore the calumny cast on the great explorer and celebrate The Catholic Spirit of Christopher Columbus!
